A style is not a filter. A filter adjusts the pixels you already have; a style redraws the photo in a different visual language, with its own line, palette, shading and proportions. That is why the same selfie can come back as a soft storybook painting, a sharp comic panel or a blocky voxel figure, and why the photo you start from matters more for some styles than others.
